MMA-KO’S VERY OWN JAIME "EL CUCUI" JARA IN AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW ON
HIS HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL FIGHT WITH DOUG “THE RHINO” MARSHALL
MMA-KO: Jaime as always it’s great to have you back to MMA-KO!!
MMA-KO: Jaime you are coming off the most controversial fight of your
career. What are your thoughts about this fight and what is it going to
take to set up a rematch?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: NOT SURE WHAT IT'LL TAKE... BUT I THINK THE WAY
THE FIGHT WENT DOWN WASN'T GOOD FOR ME, DOUG, OR THE FANS.
MMA-KO: In this fight you controlled fight while the Rhino repeatedly
grabbed the ropes(16 times) to avoid being taken down with Herb Dean
warning him 8 times. Why do you think there were no point deductions in
this fight?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: MMMM.... I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY THE REF WOULD
NOT TAKE A POINT. I ASKED THE REF SEVERAL TIMES TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT
THE ROPE GRABBING. SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN ROUNDS AND DURING THE FIGHT.
MMA-KO: Now your fight with Doug Marshall ended in a very controversial
split decision. Even with the no point deduction on all the rope
grabbing, many feel you did enough to win that fight, even right here at
MMA-KO. What do you think was the deciding factor for the judges to be
in the favor of the Rhino?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: I CONTROLLED THE CENTER OF THE RING, I CONTROLLED
THE CLINCH, CONTROLLED THE TAKE DOWNS, I MADE THE SUBMISSION ATTEMPTS. I
HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE JUDGES WERE SEEING..
MMA-KO: Now we all know that the fans want to see a rematch would you
make a return to the PFC to fight Rhino again?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: IF I THOUGHT I COULD GET A FAIR FIGHT...
MMA-KO: Do you believe with all this press attention on this fight that
it will demand a rematch?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: I THINK THAT IS SOMETHING ALL THE FAN, HIS AND
MINE WOULD LIKE TO SEE.
MMA-KO: Have you been contacted from the PFC after all the controversy
on the possibility to fight the Rhino again?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: JUST THE STATEMENT RICHARD GOODMAN MADE... SINCE I
DIDN'T SIGN I LONG TERM CONTRACT, IT WAS GOING BE HARD FOR THE REMATCH
TO HAPPEN THERE.
MMA-KO: Now we all know that you would love to fight the Rhino again, do
you think Doug Marshall would give a rematch?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: ACCORDING TO ANOTHER INTERVIEW HE DID... HE SAID
HE WOULD BE DOWN FOR THAT.
MMA-KO: In the fight you were repeatedly told Herb Dean about all the
holding on the ropes but there was still no point deduction. Did you
ever talk to Herb Dean after the fight?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: BRIEFLY
MMA-KO: Now the PFC world title is still vacant and rumor has it that
Phil “The Pain” Collins may very well be taking on the Rhino for that
title, would you wait for the possibility of fighting the winner?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: PERSONALLY I DONT LIKE THE RING OR THE 3 MINUTE
ROUNDS. BUT IF SOMETHING CAN BE WORKED OUT. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE
MMA-KO: With all the controversy going on when and where are you going
to be fighting next?
Jaime “El Cucui”Jara: I'M LOOKING FOR A FIGHT SOON... SO IF YOU’RE A
PROMOTER GIVE MY MANAGER A CALL.
