Keith "KO Kid" Berry is  one of the youngest champions in King of the Cage History after defeating Sean "the Destroyer" Loeffler on August 5th to become the KOTC Middleweight Champion. Keith "KO Kid" Berry is a awesome fighter with explosive power in both hands and one of the best in combination of both speed and power. They don't call him the KO KID for nothing. Keith holds one of the fastest KO's is KOTC history (6 seconds). At just 20 years of age Keith's freakish power and killer instinct makes him one of the most dangerous fighters in MMA today. Keith " KO KID" Berry will make his return to the cage on December 2, 2007 at Soboba Casino where he will defend the KOTC Middleweight Title Omar Lov. MMA-KO sits down with the Champion in a Exclusive Interview.

MMA-KO: Keith its great to have you back to MMA-KO.

Keith Berry: Its great to be back Jeff.

MMA-KO: Your next fight will be your first Title defense of the King Of The Cage Middleweight Championship. Where you will take on Omar Lov  Sunday Dec 2. At The Soboba Casino. This is going to be a explosive fight. Tell us about this up and coming Championship fight?

Keith Berry: I am going to come and come out hard. Omar is great fighter. I am the one that asked for this fight. I have been asking for Omar for awhile. I just think he is a striker I am a striker and there is not allot of strikers in the 185 Pound Division. I really wanted this fight and I finally got it. So I am really excited about it. I think we are both going to come out and bang. It is going to be a great fight. It is going to be a war.

MMA-KO: Right now I have never seen you so totally focused for a fight. What is your mind frame coming in this title fight?

Keith Berry: Well my mind frame is just to get my cardio up .I haven't had the best training lately because I have been bouncing around different places. Allot of people have been flaking on me pertaining to training. I been doing my jujitsu real good my boxing real good been trying to work Muay Thai and my wrestling. I did my best you know. Probably one of the best trainings I have done  for a fight. But still I don't think it is enough. So after this fight I am going to start looking for a team to join. I ether going to go with the Rampage's Team or I am going try find a team some where it is  close to where I am living that would be beneficial to me so I can train with a good group of guys. Get some good training in so I can be in good shape for my fights.

MMA KO: Where have you been training for this up and coming fight?

Keith Berry: Again  I have been bouncing around. I have been training at No Limit also at  LA Boxing. I have been training at   Machado Jujitsu for all my Jujitsu and I have been going with my boxing trainer Tommy Hancock for 5 days a week. I bounce all around. I think if I can get with a good team I really can grow as a fighter.

MMA-KO: When you trained with Quinton Jackson before, what did he say? any pointers? encouragement from his part?

Keith Berry: No not really. Quinton was getting ready with fight with Dan Henderson. So we were all kind of more focused on his fight and that was right before my a shot at the title against Shawn Loeffler. Quinton is a cool guy. Its cool training with him. He is real strong and there is great group of guys up there in Big Bear that I liked training with. So hopefully I can get up there with those guys again. That would be awesome.

MMA-KO: In your fight with Shawn “Destroyer” Loeffler you showed that you are just as dangerous on the ground as on your feet. So is your game plan to stay on your feet? Or does even matter ether way with your fight with Omar Lov?

Keith Berry: I really don't care I mean I hear that Omar might not stand he might want to take it to the ground. I don't know. You hear allot of things. I think it will be good ether way. I am real young. I really haven't been doing MMA real long. I have been doing it for the last two years. I am still new in the sport. I am a decent fighter all around. I can get allot better in my boxing. I can get allot better in my striking allot better in my Jujitsu and allot better in my wrestling. Omar Lov  and I are styles match up well. If it goes to the ground I really won't care. I will probably will stand it back up because I want a knock out. But if does go to ground I will do fine.

MMA-KO: Keith you are a Devastating puncher. Now you have what you call “knock you dead punching power. What kind of training do you do to get such awesome power?

Keith Berry:  I really hit the heavy bag allot.  I do allot of power lifting also. I practice hitting the heavy bag with real hard punches with one knock out punch at a time. Stuff like that. I train hard on my boxing allot. I train with 16 oz gloves all the time. Then when you take those 16 oz gloves off and you gowith the 4 oz gloves for a couple of rounds its allot different. It helps out my punching power allot.

MMA-KO: What is you're main goal in the future after this title fight?

Keith Berry: Well after this fight. I might relinquish the title and go back to 205 lbs. Just to relax at that weight for little awhile or I may keep the belt and keep fighting. I really don't know yet.  But for sure I going to join a team and get some really good training and that is really what I am missing right now.

MMA-KO: Is there anyone you would like to thank?

Keith Berry: I would like to thank CasinoUnreal.com they have really been my only sponsor in this fight. All my other sponsor kind of dropped out. CasinoUnreal.com have really done a good job. They do poker all kinds of online gambling stuff like that. They are awesome. Frank is awesome. MMA-KO of course for helping me promote and Doing all my promotions for this fight and for being behind me 100%. That is really my only two goods sponsor right now. I like to thank my mom and my friend Jeff my family for helping me cut weight. My boxing trainer Tommy Hancock and all theguys at Machado Jujitsu.

MMA-KO: Anything you would like to say in closing?

Keith Berry: I am really excited and I am looking forward to a real good fight. Omar Lov is a real nice guy and I like him allot.I think he is a great fighter. But I am looking to knock him out December 2.
