MMA KO GETS AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH KING
ARTHUR
MMA KO How did you originally get into MMA?
KING ARTHUR I always wanted to do it, but during high school
my priorities weren't straight. I was too into the social
life to train seriously, but a year after I graduated I saw
UFC 32 and it sparked my interest again. I told myself now
or never. Started my training in Fresno and set out for
success. That was six years ago and I haven't looked back.
MMA KO At this early point in your career,
what is your main short term and long-term goals?
KING ARTHUR My main short term goal is to keep winning and
stay active so I can eventually fight for a title. Main long
term goal is to fight overseas in Japan and to fight in the
big show here in the states UFC. Gotta think BIG!!
MMA KO How do you prepare for a fight?
KING ARTHUR I always train for a war, so I'm real strict on
myself. I train 6 smart hard weeks before a fight.
MMA KO Who puts your game plan together ?
KING ARTHUR I'm very fortunate to have my coaches Tom
Theofanopoulos and Ralph Parga assist me in forming a game
plan.
MMA KO Do you have any pre-fight rituals ?
KING ARTHUR HA HA yes I do! I'm a morning person so on fight
day Im up early watching Rocky movies. Never fails, after
that I'm ready to whoop ass and collect my check.
MMA KO What is your favorite fighting style?
KING ARTHUR I like to stand but for some reason every time I
throw a few punches they turn into wrestlers and want to
take me down, oh well I train for everything so I'll take
whatever they give me.
MMA KO What was the most powerful moment ever
in a fight ?
KING ARTHUR It was actually in my last fight, I finally had
someone willing to stand with me. He lasted 46 seconds
before he dropped, it was a powerful moment to finally
showcase what I knew I could do all along.
MMA KO Do you have a Manager? Who are your
Training Coaches?
KING ARTHUR Don't have a manager anymore but my boy Phil the
Pain has been helping me out alot with those duties. My
coaches are Head coach/ Jiu-Jitsu coach Tom Theofanopoulos,
Boxing coach Ralph Parga, and Kickboxing coach Justin
Smitley
MMA KO Tell me one thing about yourself that
your fans wouldn't suspect ?
KING ARTHUR Hmmm.... well I've been a Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtle fan since I was 9 years old. Thank God they don't let
kids get tattoos or else I'd have Rapheal tattooed to my
calf right now! ha ha
MMA KO What is the one thing you want people
to know about King Arthur ?
KING ARTHUR I want people to know that I have a lot of
respect for this sport and take no opponent lightly, that's
why I always train hard and always looking to improve my
game.
MMA KO Out of all your fights who was the
hardest one to beat?
KING ARTHUR Kris Kohls because he was bigger and stronger,
but unfortunately for him it was my first pro fight and I
refused to start my MMA journey with a loss. No one could
have beat me that day. Kohls is skilled wining a lot of
jiu-jitsu tournaments, I would love to see him fight again.
MMA KO When and where is your next fight ?
KING ARTHUR May 20 at Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville
for Gladiator Challenge.
MMA KO Is there anyone you would like to
thank?

the strength and motivation to do what I have to do. My
parents for always encouraging me to follow my dreams, Phil
the Pain for stepping up and helping me in manager task,
Oakdale MMA for helping me prepare; those guys love to bang.
And what is really important to me, my big crowd of friends
