MMA-KO : First off Tim great to have you at
MMA-KO.
T.M: I am very glad to be here at MMAKO man, I am excited
about doing this.
MMA-KO: How did you originally get into MMA?
T.M: I got into MMA after High School I got into college
doing water polo, got into a fight with a fraternity, beat
up a couple of guys and then the Dean of students was
friends with one of the guys I beat up, he turn me in saying
I hit him with a two by four so I had to go to anger
management and then almost got kick out of school. So I
decided to use my fighting, and man I am some what decent at
this, maybe I should try to do this for money and not get in
trouble since then I’ve been doing this ever since 2001.
MMA-KO: What is your favorite fighting style?
T.M: My favorite fighting style would defiantly be punching
the person in the face, probably Muay Thai kickboxing.
MMA-KO: You basically want to get it done fast.
T.M : I don’t like going for submission you know, I rather
beat him into submission then tap somebody out. I am there
to hurt the person there not my friend
MMA-KO: How do you prepare for a fight?
T.M: We get six to eight weeks training camp going and then
will start. We got a team like 12 people out here that will
all start going in and doing team runs in the morning, like
will run a mountain, run sprints up that which I never known
myself to hate a mountain but I hate a mountain, and will do
that and then will go to a track like every other day and do
sprints on the track. Pretty much to build up our cardio and
then after that go in the morning and do grappling and then
do weights after that and then in the evenings do our
sprawling kickboxing and Muay Thai.
MMA-KO: What was the most powerful moment ever in a fight?
T.M: I would have to say my most powerful moment that comes
to mind well there is two of them, one was when I was going
into the Freedom Fight when I fought Bill Muhood they were
bringing me up to lose and knock him out in six seconds that
was probably my biggest moment, and then my last fight I was
fighting in Bodog and I didn’t know I was fighting current
King of Pancreas and I put him out in the second round, I
dropped him and put him in a Rear Naked Choke Hold.
MMA-KO: Name four people in the fight industry that inspire
you
T.M : I would have to say Randy Couture one that inspired
me, Rampage Jackson, Steve Steineiss and, Jaime Verner
MMA-KO: Do you have any pre fight rituals?
T.M: I relax, watch some movies the night before, I will
take an Epson salt bath get relaxed, either watch Rocky four
or three get the whole mine set kill or be killed.
MMA-KO: When and where is your next fight?
T.M: Right now we are waiting, but looking at January 12 in
the Cayman Islands and then in February maybe Stockton
MMA-KO: So you might be coming back to Stockton for the
February card?
T.M: I get to come back home. I love fighting in front of
everybody

wouldn’t suspect
