At "Young Guns," It's Time for the Up-and-Comers to Shine

"Out with the old, in with the new"...as the saying goes.

On January 23rd, some of the young lions in Gladiator Challenge will get their opportunity to prove they belong on the big events, as GC will presents "Young Guns" live at Elko Indian Colony Gym in Elko, Nevada.

The sport of mixed martial arts is the best example of the evolution of combat. Combining all the fight disciplines of the world, including boxing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, judo, Muay Thai, and various other styles, MMA has shown the world that there is no one discipline that reigns supreme over others. If a fight is on its feet, a boxer or kickboxer will work over a submission expert. But if the fight goes to the ground, the jiu-jitsu fighter or judo player will likely tie that standup fighter up in knots. That''s the beauty of the sport...one must train equally in all facets of the game.

Gladiator Challenge has given birth to some of the greatest fighters in the world. Men like former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim "The Maine-iac" Sylvia, current StrikeForce star Scott "Hands of Steel" Smith, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champions "Sugar" Rashad Evans and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, and many others have graced the GC cage on their way to stardom and notoriety.

Gladiator Challenge is proud to showcase an action-packed night of mixed
martial arts fights as they present "Young Guns," live from the Elko
Indian Colony Gymnasium in Elko, NV on Saturday, January 23rd. With 10
bouts scheduled featuring some of the top young GC fight talent, "Young
Guns" is a fitting title for this show. The show is stacked with
explosive, hard-hitting, talented up-and-comers who are eager to show
why they deserve the spotlight.

Gates open at 5:00 PM, with fights beginning at 7:00 PM. Fans can
purchase tickets for "Young Guns" at www.virtualboxoffice.com, or call
(888) 826-8858.

With all the exciting bouts scheduled for this card, Elko fight fans
will be in for a huge treat. "We are very glad to be back," exclaimed GC
Owner/Promoter Tedd Williams. "The fans here are great, and we're
excited to bring the Gladiator Challenge brand of fights back to them!"
