NEW PANKRATION EVENT FEB.26

This February 26th 2010 at the Sacramento Radisson will be the very first Stand Up Fighters / Coaching Kids AMATEUR MMA PANKRATION event. This is the chance for ALL Amateur Fighters from the ages of 8 to 16 years old to participate in a high level MMA event and a perfect opportunity for someone over 16 years old to compete in MMA with out the obvious risk of severe damage. If you have always wanted to give MMA a try but dont want to face the Pros. This is your event.

Pankration is very similar to standard Mixed Martial Arts in that all styles of martial arts are used and that two fighters face each other in a cage with a referee. Wins are still gained through TKO, Submission or Referee Stoppage. So what are the differences?

Here are the big ones.
- No Strikes to the Head, back or joints.
- No Up Kicking or body slams
- No Neck Cranks or Submission involving twisting of knee
- No Guillotine Choke or Rear Naked Choke if Opponant is wearing Headgear.
- Fighters Under 18 years old Required to wear Headgear.
