Mark Burnett Presents King Of The Cage Legacy" Will Be Second KOTC Live HDnet Broadcast  by Matt Clarmont

Mark Burnett Presents King of the Cage Legacy” will be the second event held by the 12 year old MMA promotion that will be aired live on Hdnet since the reality show king joined the ownership ranks of the southern California-based fight promotion. The show will air on March 26th at 10pm ET (7pm PT) and features bout between Mike Kyle (14-7-1) and Jon Murphy (5-3). Also competing on the card are Jaime Jara (25-7), Nick Gaston (1-0, 1 NC), and the highly touted Quinn Mulhern (8-1), fresh off of his victory over UFC veteran Rich Clementi.

King of the Cage's fight cards normally fill out in the weeks leading up to their event. While no opponent has been named for Mulhern, he will likely serve headlining duties if the scheduled bout between Kyle and Murphy doesn't take that honor.

Mulhern's impressive record includes wins over Chris Brennan and former King of the Cage junior welterweight champ Rick Legere. His only loss came at the hands of current UFC fighter Mike Guymon.

Mike Kyle will also be making his second appearance on a Hdnet broadcast of a KOTC card. His win over Travis Wiuff in their first televised affair raised enough eyebrows to possibly warrant a second consecutive headlining duty. His opponent, Jon Murphy, is regularly underrated due to his less than stellar record. However, he has recently revitalized his career by practicing a stricter training regimen. His only losses prior to that renewed focus came against some tough competition; Houston Alexander in his prime, Chase Gormley, and current Strikeforce title contender Brett Rogers.

Jaime Jara was recently elected into the MMA-KO hall of fame. He is 9-2 over the last 2 years and is the man responsible for Giva “The Arm Collector” Santana's only career loss. He has primarily spent his career fighting at smaller shows but he is well-recognized among California fight fans. He recently signed a 6 fight deal to compete under the KOTC banner.

“King of the Cage: Legacy” will be hosted at Silver Legacy Casino in Reno, Nevada and will air live on the High Definition Network as part of a 3 year partnership between the entities. The deal includes the monthly airing of live KOTC events and began during February's “Vengeance” fight card. Tickets for the event are on sale now at Ticketmaster.
