KOTC response to disappearance of Ray Mercer
This
is the response of King of the Cage (KOTC) to Keith Creed’s comments
about the disappearance of Ray Mercer. The comments that were made
by Keith Creed were in no way the opinion or representation of KOTC.
Keith is not an employee of KOTC nor is he authorized to speak on
behalf of KOTC.
It was very unfortunate that the comments were made referring to the
history of another recent boxer and classifying Ray in that
category. The views of KOTC have always shown Ray to be a generous
family man, putting his family first, in front of everything
including his fighting career.
To comment on the alleged disappearance of Ray, I can only speculate
that the comments made by Keith stemmed from the two’s inability to
get a schedule down for Ray to make an ESPN interview last week.
As for KOTC, Terry Trebilcock, owner and president, states that he
personally has talked to Ray at least two times per day in the last
week and has also followed Ray through his medical licensing. Ray
has assured us that he is in top shape and more qualified to perform
in his fight than he was in his knockout victory over former UFC
Heavyweight Champion, Tim Silvia.
As for the relationship of Keith Creed to KOTC, he was the
independent agent who has the ear of Foxwoods, and was instrumental
in convincing Foxwoods that KOTC would be a good match for the
Casino. As for the comment of Keith resigning from KOTC, I don’t
know how a guy resigns from a company without ever working for them.
In conclusion, King of the Cage looks forward to the show at
Foxwoods, the broadcast with HDNet, and the excellent card that has
been put together which includes Ray Mercer’s mixed martial arts
fight with Ron Sparks as the co-main event.
