"HDNet
will continue to showcase the premiere MMA promotion in Canada to
millions of fans in North America," announced Andrew Simon, the CEO
of HDNet Fights. HDNet and Maximum Fighting Championship have
extended their agreement to continue broadcasting MFC events
exclusively on HDNet into 2010.
HDNet is the "Home of MMA" and having
the MFC on its roster enables the broadcaster "to continue to
provide more MMA content than any network in the world," claimed
Andrew Simon. The MFC/HDNet partnership began in early 2008 and has
proven to be mutually beneficial to both companies. "HDNet works
closely with MFC to put on events that local fans will want to buy
tickets to and HDNet customers will not want to miss," the HDNet
Fights' CEO continued.
Maximum Fighting Championship is the
number one promotion in Canada and one of the top shows in the World
and is the only live Mixed Martial Arts event in Canada and can be
view live on television throughout North America. "HDNet has helped
the MFC immensely," admitted MFC president Mark Pavelich. "It means
a lot to our organization to be on TV and to be involved with
quality individuals like Mark Cuban, Guy Mezger, and Andrew Simon."
There is no doubt that the MFC has grown in popularity since
debuting on HDNet.
Each MFC event continues to garner the
attention of the MMA world. "With the increase of talent in the MFC,
such as Jason MacDonald, Thiales Laites, Dean Lister, Marvin
Eastman, John Alessio, David Heath, Luigi Fioravanti, Ryan Jimmo,
Antonio McKee, Bryan Baker, Solomon Hutchinson and Jesse Juarez , I
can only guess that the ratings are through the roof and only
gaining momentum with each show," stated Pavelich. "I think the last
MFC event attracted the most attention commented Simon, "I am
looking forward to even bigger things from the MFC later this year."
The
multi-fight deal will commence on December 4 with the HDNet
broadcast of MFC 23 live from the River Cree Resort and Casino in
Alberta, Canada. MMA fans will appreciate the opportunity to
continue watching MFC athletes compete live in high definition
throughout the United States and Canada on HDNet. The Maximum
Fighting Championship has sold out 18 straight events.
