GILBERT VS. OUMA UNDERCARD SHAPES UP
September 13th, RENO - A spectacular undercard is being presented as
part of the
highly anticipated Joey Gilbert vs. Kassim Ouma NABA middleweight
championship
fight on September 25th at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, Reno.
 In
a special attraction MMA matchup, Reno’s Jerel Clark (4-0) will be
facing off
against Winnemucca’s Jack Montgomery (9-8). Both fighters have
appeared on the
Reno Xtreme Fights series and both are coming off of impressive
wins. The fight
will determine who is Northern Nevada’s best MMA middleweight.
Heavyweight boxing prospect Joe “The Future” Hanks (14-0, 9 KOs)
will be
fighting in a 6 round bout on the RFX VI card against Aron Lyons
(11-9, 8 KOs)
of Las Cruces, NM. Originally from Newerk, NJ, Hanks now lives and
trains in Los
Angeles.
Returning to Reno is undefeated middleweight prospect Markie “The
Italian
Bazooka” DeLuca from Boston, MA. DeLuca’s last fight was is 2008 in
The Biggest
Little City when he knocked out Flavio Cardoza in the first round.
DeLuca
entered the Marine Corps shortly after that fight to serve his
country. He is
eager to return to the ring. DeLuca’s opponent will be announced
soon.
In a battle of local boxing pro debuts, Nelson Lopez and Duane
“Bubba” Dupre,
both from Reno, will fight each other in a four round
light-heavyweight bout.
In another MMA bout, Joe Barros ( Reno, NV 2-5), will be fighting in
his
hometown for the first time on September 25th against Josh Rebedeaux
(5-7) of
Phoenix, AZ.

Reno Xtreme Fights, Reno’s only professional boxing and mixed
martial arts
series, is presented by Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and Let’s Get
it on
Promotions. Doors will open at 7 pm. for the fight on Saturday,
September 25th
with the first bout at 8 p.m. in the Grand Theatre. Tickets are $75,
