Team Quest prospect Tarec Saffiedine earned the 4th largest sum
for the night, cashing out at $8,000 while local prospect Luke
Rockhold earned himself $9,000. The two men got win bonuses of
$4,000 and $4,500 respectively and can likely expect much larger
paydays in the not too distant future. Saffiedine's initial pay
was actually $1,000 less before a win bonus was applied than
James Terry's, the man he beat.
Trevor Prangley likely could have went home with significantly
more cash, though he was still the top earner at Strikeforce
Challengers 6 “Kaufman vs. Hashi” pocketing $15,000 for his
technical draw with middleweight prospect Karl Amoussou who
earned $8,000 himself.
Newly crowned women's 135 pound champ Sarah Kaufman earned the
second largest payday, grossing $14,000 which included a $7,000
win bonus. Her opponent Takayo Hashi earned the customary $500
payday for a Japanese fighter in North America, probably paid
more by her own promotional entity based in her home of Japan.
The total payout for the 12 professional fighters was
$75,000 while the 2,318 paid attendees contributed to a gross
gate of $86,440 for the event.
