Lemoore, Calif. – Tachi Palace Fights (TPF) was at it again with TPF High Stakes.

The main event featured Visalia’s Doug “The Rhino” Marshall (12-3) taking on Ultimate Fight alum, Kyacey “Ice Cold” Uscola (18-15).

The fighters came out exchanging, Uscola scores a takedown. Then takes Marshall’s back and rains down punches until the referee stops the fight.

Uscola wins at 3:17 in the first round by ground and pound technical knockout.

“I set up my takedown perfect and flattened him and pounded him out,” said Uscola.

The middleweight championship was up for grabs as the promotion crowned a new champion. Coarsegold’s Anthony “A-Train” Ruiz (25-13) goes to war with Leopoldo Serao (16-7).

“It was a very tough fight, he had a lot of experience,” said Serao. “I trained for four months for this fight and everything I trained for happened.”

“I wish it was more off aggression and damage but it’s not they judge it by takedowns,” said Ruiz.

Ruiz had better stand up but Serao was better on the ground. Serao tried a number of takedowns and submissions but A-Train showed heart fighting out everything thrown at him.

After five rounds, the judges scored it 48-47, 48-46, and 48-46 with the split decision and the middleweight title going to Serao.

Ultimate Fight contestant, Corey Hill (4-3) had the height and reach advantage but it wasn’t even to beat “Razor” Rob McCullough (18-6).

Hill scored numerous takedowns but “Razor” Rob escaped and had the better striking. McCullough works his way to the unanimous decision win.

Micah Miller (14-4) was too tall for Diego Saraiva (18-9-1) as Miller takes the unanimous decision victory.

Hanford’s Luis “Speedy” Gonzales (2-2) wasn’t fast enough as he gets knocked out by Darrell Montague (7-1) at 4:42 in the first round.

Ultimate Fighter participant, Joseph Henle (3-0) fought Collin Hart (2-1) to a unanimous draw. During the fight Hill caught Henle with a low blow the referee deducted a point from Hill.

“I thought I was going to take it,” said Henle. “It was a good fight; I had a lot of fun.”

In the only women’s fight on the card, Hanford’s Paulina Ramirez (1-0) takes a split decision win over Fresno’s Stephanie Frausto (2-2).

Lemoore’s Andrew “Mickey D” Martinez (6-2-1) took on Mark “The Machine Gun” Matthews (3-4), in a rematch from TPF 4 was ruled a no decision due to an unintentional eye poke. Martinez lands an overhand right knocking out Matthews at 2:41 in the first round.

In the opening bout, Art Becerra (2-1) defeats Gabriel Solorio (5-2) choking him unconscious with a rear-naked choke at 3:22 in the second round.
