Roy
“Hit Boy” Arriola Makes his return to MMA-KO
MMA-KO: Roy it is great to have you back to MMA-KO.
Hit Boy: "Yeah its been a while, what took you guys so long to bring me
back haha" seriously though, thanks for having me!
MMA-KO: There has been allot of talk about your return to the cage and
rumor has it your pro boxing debut this summer. When is this much
anticipated return?
Hit Boy: Yes, I am now licensed in Boxing and MMA, I am so excited, I am
looking to venture out and enjoy the best of both worlds. I have been in
talks with 4 promoters/organizations over the past month, 3 of them are
out of state, the other is here in California, I would really like to
get something put together with "PURECOMBAT" Al Joslin and Shelly are
good people, Al has always been straight up with me. I have allot of
respect for that family.
MMA-KO: Right now I have never seen you so totally focused, what is your
mind frame like with this Huge come back?
Hit Boy: Well, I have realized how fast a fighters stock can drop after
hitting a few roadblocks, the politics involved can really hurt you. One
minute your on a roll and have your phone ringing off the hook than
after a few bad breaks everything can fall apart and your phone does not
ring anymore. I am hungry and will not let anyone or anything stand in
my way. I am going to do this my way, and the only way I know is to keep
it real and not say what everyone wants me to say, I am no ones puppet!
MMA-KO: Now Roy you have had over 60 amateur boxing matches, how excited
are you to fight in you debut pro boxing fight?
Hit Boy: My dream has always been to be a profession boxer, it wasn’t
until 2006 that I realized that MMA is something I would like to pursue,
Boxing is my first love, when I am in top shape there is no one with
better hands than ME! I am looking forward to proving that to anyone
that thinks different!

MMA-KO: Your last fight was vs the former PFC Middleweight Champion
Kenny Ento back on Jan-18-2007. That is a long lay off and how is your
training coming along for this return?
Hit Boy: Ill admit that after losing that fight, I felt I had nothing
left, I was very depressed, I trained very hard for that fight, I felt
deep down that I could of beat Kenny easily, he didn't hurt me! He had a
nice clinch but that’s about it. I got hit with two knees, one of them
damaged my shoulder, pretty good, I could not move it for a couple
months. I got out of shape big time after that. ( Injury and being
depressed don’t mix). To this day and everyday after, the reason I lost
that fight was due to a slippery ring. I was sliding all over the canvas
trying to get solid footing. The video will show that.
MMA-KO: Tell us about your exciting news that you have now joined up
with our friends at FUNEWS.NET with awesome stories called Toe-2-Toe
with the Hit boy?
Hit Boy: My good friend Chris from
www.Funews.net approached me one day and asked if I would be a part
of what he does, I jumped on the chance, he told me to write about
whatever I wanted, so far so good. we have gotten allot of positive
feedback so far. I am currently working on a nice story on Jason Von
Flu, stay tuned.
MMA-KO: Now Hit boy you are a MMA fighter, boxer and a writer with
FUNEWS.NET, But what is you're main goal in the future of your career?
Hit Boy: Well im not getting any younger, my main goal coming into MMA
was to get at least 10 fights under my belt than I would decide my
future. I really think I make a big splash in Boxing, I don’t have fancy
foot work but I sure " HIT HARD" and that goes along way in any sport.
MMA-KO: Now you have ALLOT of haters out there is they’re anything you
would like to say to all of them about this return?
Hit Boy: TRY ME! If the money is right I will fight anyone!! Dont hate
me because I keep it real, dont hate me because I say what you wish you
had the guts to say, dont hate me because im living your dream!
MMA-KO: Now I have asked you before what is your favorite style and you
have always told me that you love to stand and bang!!! Now your true
love is boxing is that why you are making the return?
Hit Boy: I am making my return because I have unfinished business! I
have something for those organizations that passed me by! AND ALL THOSE
FIGHTERS THAT THINK THEY COULD WHIP ME! Line up and take a turn!!
MMA-KO: Who is one fighter that you would love to fight and would love
to call out?
Hit Boy: MICKEY MARTINEZ & KENNY ENTO, I want Mickey simply because I
know he is afraid to lace em up with me, and the PFC wont let the fight
happen because he would get the beating of his life! Kenny Ento, nothing
personal anymore, he is a cool guy, lots of respect for him. I just know
I could whip him, the outcome would be much different if we did it
again. I would whoop both these guys @ any weight they wanted!! pick
one! I would like to fight Poppies Martinez in a professional Boxing
Match, anywhere anytime and place. I know this guy does not have the
hands to beat me. Getting wins over the Martinez Brothers would be icing
on the cake for me and all my fans in the valley.
MMA-KO: Where are you training out of now?
Hit Boy: I want to keep my training private, all that is important is
that I surround myself with good people and come to fight!!
MMA-KO: Is there anyone you would like to thank?
Hit Boy: First and foremost my Wife, my Son, my Daughters, without them
I would be lost, they keep me going every minute of the day,I want to
thank my brother, (he keeps me focused) I want to thank Anthony Fuller,
Jaime Jara, James Fanshier, Phil the Pain( these guys have set the bar
on where I want to be), to all my friends and family thank you for
supporting me. Chris from Funews.net, thank you for sticking by me
through my ups and downs, your a true friend. Al Joslin and PURECOMBAT,
thank you for keeping it real. Thank you to my family at Max Muscle in
Visalia ca. Thanks to those at TEAM HIT BOY! Last but not least, THANK
YOU TO MMAKO.TV I am looking forward to working with you and making
things happen world wide!!
MMA-KO: Anything you would like to say in closing?
Hit Boy: Yeah actually there is, "TO ALL THOSE THAT FEEL THEY NEED TO
PLAY IT SAFE AND SAY WHAT THE PROMOTERS/MATCH MAKERS WANT YOU TO SAY,
PLEASE STOP, it makes me want to vomit!!" Keep it real don’t be afraid
to be yourself and say whats on your mind, you get more respect that
way. Oh and by the way, you can get your HIT BOY fight shirts at MAX
MUSCLE in Visalia or right here at MMAKO.TV, tell them HIT BOY sent ya!.
MMA-KO: On behalf of MMA-KO it was great to have you back to MMA-KO and
look forward to Roy” The Hit” Boy's return"
